As previously mentioned, Amate Animalia is an exotic animal rescue dedicated to teaching people about exotic animals & their specialised needs - and how often many exotic animals do not make good pets!

Most of our work involves rescuing and rehabilitating exotic animals, we offer a 24 hour call out service & have a dedicated team of volunteers from veterinary backgrounds as well as exotics vets and vet nurses.

The other side of our work is offering specialised 'Pets As Therapy' for disabled children & adults as well as schools for those with special needs.

We so also offer educational encounters for schools, colleges and Universities.

N.B. Only specifically trained volunteers of Amate Animalia & those with a relevant academic background conduct our therapy & educational sessions - all of whom are fully insured & DBS checked. We also offer risk assessments for every session.



All of the animals who are valued members of our Pets As Therapy team are rescued & have been nurtured back to health by our amazing vets & volunteers, therefore they are very special animals!

During our visits we aim to raise awareness of the work we do & all fees go to our rescued animals to pay for their vet treatment and specialised needs - all the humans are volunteers! So you will be helping a good cause if you choose our services!
