We always try and bring a wide selection of our animals to our animal encounters, whether it is for an educational encounter or for a therapy session.

However, please note that it is not always possible to bring all of our animals (or all of the requested species/animals) to any one event due to specific welfare restrictions we have. We thank you for your understanding with this as the animals welfare always comes first.

N.B. For specific therapy sessions we will do our best to ensure that the therapy animal desired will visit you.

Further information about our educational animal encounters for schools & colleges can be found in the PDF 'Educational Animal Encounters' shown below.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact’ page or by emailing or phoning us;

Health and Safety

At Amate Animalia, we rescue exotic animals and give them a forever home & we also take health and safety of our clients & animals very seriously.

Not only do we assess their temperaments daily, but we constantly assess their behaviour even whilst the encounter is occurring to ensure your safety & to ensure that you are at no or little risk of being scratched or bitten.

All of our animals are treated against ectoparasites and endoparasites (worms, fleas, ticks etc.) & are only ever taken to animal encounters if they are healthy & are free from disease.

Our main animal handlers have academic backgrounds in Veterinary Medicine, Vet Nursing, Wildlife Biology, Zoology & they are all expert animal handlers & very experienced, thus the risk to our visitors is reduced massively.

All of our animal handlers are trained to a high standard & are all fully insured & DBS-checked (copies of DBS certificates & insurance can be provided if needed).

For further details on our health and safety protocols, please contact us as we can produce a specific, custom Risk Assessment document for your individual encounter/therapy session.
